I combine bold, confident forms and rich color to stylish modern paintings. Enamored with the clean lines of contemporary design, they conceive their forms with an eclectic sensibility, giving them a timeless quality.
Light is the most important aspect of my work. It offers the most challenge and the most reward. I take the most commonly overlooked details and infuse them with suggestion, turning simple objects into romantic abstracts and soft landscapes.
Through a mist of colors, dreams masquerade as reality in my whimsical artwork. As reality is whisked away by floating stars, hearts, and spheres, these landscapes of color come alive with cool hues and smooth textures. My paintings brim with color as evocative as the emotions that inspire them.
Born in Anniston Alabama in 1951 to a hard working jack of all trades and a seamstress I sort of took on the characteristics of both my parents. I became a jack of all trades with a certain sense of creativity and an eye for detail. Although I have been painting for over thirty years, only recently have I been able to devote all my time to my art.
